NEIGHBOURS Part l is the first part of a diptych created in collaboration with William Forsythe and performed by Rauf "RubberLegz" Yasit and Brigel Gjoka. Neighbours Neighbours is a minimalist show with a strong experimental importance, born from the encounter of breakdance and contemporary dance.
The collaborative sinergy between RubberLegz and Gjoka go beyond boundaries, not only the linguistic ones related to classical, contemporary, and urban dance. The crossed boundaries are also conceptually geographical, so the outcome is an harmonious blend of their respective origins: Kurdish and Albanese. Neighbours becomes an account of the power of motion as a form of language that transcend cultural barriers, deeply and viscerally resonating with the audience. In this convergence of artistic mastery and cultural heritage, RubberLegz and Gjoka redefine the limits of dance and they remind us that its essence is the celebration of human spirit.
