“Human beings lost their identity looking for it outside themselves; this is the beginning of their wandering in an eternal cycle, made of air castles and labyrinths of illusions, called Samsara”. SamsaraThrough a combination of contemporary dance, acrobatics, and breakdance Chey Jurado and Javito Mario portray human beings caught up in an inner research. This sensitive performance explores the overcoming of the duality between the observer and the observed, the inner and the outer being of a person. This takes place in a bright environment where recordings of actions, landscapes, and daily moments fall together with the performers’ gestures, incomplete actions, and experiences interrupted by thoughts and organic acrobatics, in a cycle of life and death.

Chey Jurado

is a dancer who since 2005 has been practicing dance techniques related to break dance and hip hop (b-boying, popping and locking), establishing himself as one of the most representative performers on the international scene. He’s a four times winner of Redbull BCone Spain, Best Showcase in Battle of The Year, winner of Juste Debout experimental, Best performance in Open Your Mind. He has danced with many famous international companies such as La Veronal, Roberto Olivan, Cía Elias Aguirre, Rojas & Rodríguez, Perfordance and Peeping Tom. In 2016 he created and performed his first solo work "Agua", which won awards in numerous urban and contemporary dance competitions. “Raíz”, awarded at Certamen Masdanza de Canarias 2022, and "Por parte de mare", were both co-produced by Patty Hinchado.

Javito Mario

is an artist from Granada who studied acrobatics at the Italian circus school FLIC in Italy, and completed his training as a dancer at SEAD in Austria. He collaborated with the company Cirk La Putyka (Prague), Antonio Ruz and Richard Mascherin. His solo project ''Kyklos'' won the second prize award at the Burgos & New York 2022 competition.
