Dystopian is a stirring odyssey that enters the enigmatic realms of time and unconscious. Amid an unceasing flow of events, the performance discloses an intertwining plot, made of the very intimate and autobiographic stories of the performers. Their thoughts materialize, collapsing and freezing, and then stretching and speeding up. It’s a touching embodiment of the fluidity and the whimsical nature of time.
An abstract representation of the visceral encounters and the feelings of the performers brings to light memories and past stories. The choreography is imbued with a distinctive physicality, marked by sudden transitions, suspended moments, and explosive gestures. Each of them is a visceral channel for emotions that range from trepidation to euphoria, from melancholy to anguish, and from rapture to torment.
